Candidates with a Ph.D degree may start their career as Assistant Professor, Research Supervisor, Research Project Coordinator, Postdoctroral Fellow, Postdoctoral research scholar etc. in university / colleges / research institutes / ICAR / CSIR / government and private organisations of India as well as abroad. Candidates shall get the opportunity to go abroad for pursuing post-doctoral

work or get a satisfactory job with high salary as a Psychologist, HR experts and Teaching professionals. There is a good scope for the persons having Ph.D degree to start their career as well as a Psychologist or even part of multinational companies and corporate industry as HR expert, recruitment and personnel selection department etc.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

A Ph.D, or Doctor of Philosophy degree, is considered as one of the most advanced degrees available at any modern university or educational institution. The degree involves study on important and relevant subfields of Applied Psychology such as General Psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, neuropsychology, counselling psychology, clinical psychology, industrial

psychology, health psychology and positive psychology. The PhD degree will involve a coursework for one year under the teaching and guidance of the esteemed faculty members. There will be an exam for the coursework on completion of which the candidates may start with their individual research work after approval of synopsis by the Scientific Ethical Committee Members.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Applications shall be invited through announcements by the university. The interested applicant/s may submit the application for admission in Ph. D program in Applied Psychology to the Registrar Office of the university. R&D committee of the university shall get in touch with the Controller of Examination Section to conduct the admission entrance test (written mode). In the entrance

test, the 50% questions shall be set from the research methodology and the other 50% questions shall be set from relevant subjects and topics of Applied Psychology. The candidates with M.Phil degree in Clinical Psychology will be exempted from the written entrance examination and will be eligible to appear for the viva voce/interview directly. The qualified candidates shall be called for the personal interview/ viva voce. The qualifying candidates may be considered for enrolment in the Ph. D program in Applied Psychology of the university.

ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The research progress of the scholar shall be evaluated time to time by the advisory committee and scientific ethical committee created for individual scholar. The advisory committee and scientific ethical committee shall suggest ways to improve the quality of research work of the scholar and also advise and caution how to conduct data sensitively on human participants. The advisory

committee and scientific ethical committee, shall be made by considering tour faculty members (chairman, co-chairman, member, departmental nominee). The report of advisory committee and scientifical ethical committee shall be submitted to the R&D committee. The R&D committee shall keep the records and further shall forward the same to Controller of Examination (CoE). The advisory committee and scientifical ethical committee shall be following the Ph.D guideline of The Neotia University while functioning.
