I am a Senior Faculty of English at TNU, teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, a teacher educator, and a materials writer. In a career spanning for two and a half decades, I have taught English Language, English literature, Business English, Corporate Communication, Employability Skills and conducted workshops on various aspects of ELT and exploratory practice. Besides teaching, my area of work covers a diverse range of interests within ELT: writing research papers and books, materials creation, curriculum designing and production of teacher resource materials. In my fairly long career span, I have been an examiner of Cambridge University ESOL exams, IGNOU, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University (formerly WBUT) & The Neotia University. I have published several academic textbooks and research papers in peer reviewed national and international journals of repute. I hold my degrees / certifications in – English Language Teaching (PhD), English Literature (MA), Education (B.Ed.), from reputed Indian universities and organizations : the University of Calcutta, Jadavpur University, The British Council, National Skill Development Corporation etc. My areas of specialization include: Teaching (English Language, British Literature, Professional & Business English, Soft Skills, Corporate Communication), as well as being an ELT resource person, an ELT curriculum designer, a materials writer and a freelance writer. I explore innovative ways of teaching within and beyond the classroom that are primarily aimed at preparing my students to achieve academic and professional excellence.
