Dr. Anirban Dasgupta

Dr Anirban Das Gupta has obtained his PhD from the Department of Microbiology, University of Calcutta in 2018. During his doctoral thesis, Dr Das Gupta has worked on the study to elucidate the underlying mechanism of waste water treatment in single pond system at East Kolkata Wetlands, a Ramsar site. Subsequently he joined the Bioprocess and Bioproduct development laboratory at the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Kharagpur in DST-IMPRINT project that was co-sponsored by Hindustan Petroleum.  There he conducted his post doctoral research on climate change mitigation through flue gas capture using large scale microalgal biomass production. His research interests include waste water treatment, climate change using biological technologies.
