I am very fortunate to be part of TNU and being able to pursue my dream of becoming a merchant navy Deck Officer as this institution is quite possibly the best university in Eastern India for Maritime Studies, which is DG Shipping approved. It has amazingly well-built infrastructure including a one-of-a-kind Ship in Campus having a fully operational 4000 BHP Ship Engine along with complete set of machineries available on the ship( like Generator, Oil-Water separator, Boiler, Fire Control Lab etc.), Bridge Simulator, Workshop, Seamanship & Firefighting Labs, Smart Classrooms and also a Free Fall Lifeboat.
